Vitally Balanced Touch forHealth

90 minutes: $135.00

Touch for Health Specialized Kinesiology is a natural therapy program that assesses any imbalances and stress patterns in the body.  Practitioners use muscle testing as a biofeedback tool to re-balance the body's muscles, systems and energy.  This often results in a rapid, long-lasting solution to the pain and other symptoms mentioned at the beginning of the session.  Lisa uses ancient Chinese acupoints to re-balance your body's bio-electric patterns which helps it release stress and pain, and then she uses massage as needed to keep it balanced.

This introductory session includes education of self-care techniques that are easy to understand and do at home.

In general, Oriental bodywork aims to restore and balance the flow of energy (Chi) throughout your body. It uses gentle hand and finger pressure along specific points and energy pathways (meridians) on your body to restore your body to full health. There are many forms of Oriental bodywork, but they all share a common foundation in Chinese Medicine. They simply differ in their use of specific techniques to balance your energy.

The Specialized Kinesiology coursework that Lisa took combines this eastern oriental body work with western physical therapy principles.

Because you may have never heard of Touch for Health nor kinesiology, the following links and definitions may help you prepare for your session. It is not going to be like a typical massage.  You remain clothed during the session while Lisa simply assesses your body's ability to keep certain muscles contracted.

As mentioned on this New Zealand website, "Touch for Health Kinesiology...looks at the problems that arise when there is an interrupted flow of energy in your body. There are a number of health issues that may cause this. Aches, pains, emotional stress and dietary problems can all trigger an interruption. Touch for Health therapy taps into these energy flows and evaluates the real root cause of the problem and helps the body heal itself." - viewed 10/15/2019

A website called Eastern Balance Kinesiology describes what happens in a kinesiology session and also lists some potential benefits which "include:

  • relieving stress, anxiety and depression
  • improving confidence and self esteem
  • releasing shock and trauma
  • reducing physical pain and muscular injuries
  • overcoming fatigue and increasing your energy
  • sleeping problems
  • learning and behavioural difficulties
  • hormonal imbalances
  • fertility, pregnancy support and post-pregnancy issues
  • losing weight
  • identifying food sensitivities and nutritional deficiencies
  • changing habits and clearing self-sabotage
  • navigating relationship issues
  • setting and achieving goals
  • making decisions and finding direction"

According to Kansas State University, "kinesiology is the study of physical activity across a range of tasks including exercise, daily living, play, sports, and work. Coursework integrates biological and behavioral approaches using biomechanical, physiological, and sociological perspectives to study physical activity from cell to society. This life science discipline emphasizes breadth and depth of content, scientific methodology, and intellectualism for lifelong learning, thinking, and action. Kinesiology promotes an understanding of the need for movement for physical and psychological health." - viewed 9/25/2019.

According to International Kinesiology College, "kinesiology has been called the art and science of muscle testing or muscle monitoring. The kinesiologist looks at the whole person in terms of their structure (physical), mental / emotional, and biochemical / nutrition. The kinesiologist uses his or her knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, counselling and nutrition as well as Traditional Chinese Medicine concepts to ensure the whole person is balanced." - viewed 9/25/2019

Acupressure Therapy

Chair Massage

Per 1 minutes: $1.50

Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home or workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which is brought to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.

Treat your staff members to a chair massage break!!  Lisa will arrive at your site and stay for at least two hours, relaxing your valuable employees so that they have more energy and less stress!  Please call 402-915-1590 for further details and arrangements.

Two hour minimum at your site for your staff or team members.

Deep Tissue Massage

30 minutes: $50

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Reflexology is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression.

Trained in understanding your foot’s structure and the importance it plays in your alignment, Lisa works with the meridians that begin and end on your fingers and toes. “Many clients report they are as relaxed as if they had a full body massage.” Learn more at http://clairemariemiller.com/what-is-integrative-reflexology

Lymphatic Massage for Detox is deeply relaxing and highly beneficial to moving any lymph congestion. Castor oil packs on the abdomen and digestive abdominal massage support clearing the deeper lymphatic areas. Lymph Mover oil is optional and benefits the hydration of the skin and supports the lymph fluid continuing to move post-massage. It is recommended that you wear clothing that can potentially get oily. (See Claire Marie Miller's site to learn more.)

She has customized this Lymphatic Drainage session for post tummy tuck and liposuction procedures and is working with patients from some of the best plastic surgeons in the Omaha metro area.  Six sessions over a 9 week period help relieve swelling and pain after the procedure and can be purchased upfront with the buy 5 get 1 free option.

Myofascial Release Therapy

30 minutes: $50

Myofascial release is a form of soft tissue therapy intended to eliminate pain, increase range of motion, and rebalance the entire body. It does this by using massage techniques to stretch the fascia and release the bonds that exist between the fascia, muscles and bones. Fascia is the connective tissue that connects and covers all muscles, organs, and skeletal structures of the body. Direct myofascial release is sometimes known as deep tissue work. Indirect release applies light pressure and gently stretches the fascia; this allows for increased blood circulation and relief from pain.
