Indications and Contraindications

Indications for Lymphatic Massage for Detox:

Generally the immune system will benefit as the lymph is moved toward the terminuses (previously known as ducts)

Cleansing before conceiving

Seasonal immune system tune-up

Post cold or flu

Weight loss

Chronic fatigue



Lyme’s Disease

Post surgery

Pregnancy edema (but not if there is pitting, pre-eclampsia or blood clot potential)                   

Menstrual Cycle or PMS


Neuropathy in diabetics



Contra-Indications for Lymphatic Massage for Detox:

Blood Clot (if you are taking any blood thinners (i.e. Coumadin) I will use less strokes and an even lighter touch)

Current cancer treatments with chemo or radiation, you must wait 6 months post treatment then we can do this once a week

Current autoimmune flare-up

  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Lupus
  • Other autoimmune deficiency


Very Young / Elderly (for the whole session)

Kidney Dialysis

Kidney Stress

Congestive Heart Failure

If you have any swollen varicose veins, I will be avoiding that area.
